The impact on the Corsa was similar to that on the Almera, but whereas the Almera continued in virtually a straight line after the impact the Corsa was pushed sideways and because it was taking the right hand bend at the point of impact its back end swung out before coming to a halt.

Standing beside the Corsa, directing traffic, is the villager whose home was damaged in the last incident of this kind.

In the background, the dark blue Fiesta of the local man can be seen parked outside the Post Office, whilst a Renault happens to be passing.
