The approach to the bend at Church Lane Junction is well signed. The 40 mph signs are new. However, the lower part of the sign, to announce the village, with the legend "Please drive carefully", has been there since well before the Millennium, as has the "SLOW" marking on the road.

Beyond that are further signs indicating adults and child pedestrians, with a second "SLOW" sign on the road surface itself. And finally, on the corner itself two chevron marker boards.

You would have thought this adequate warning, especially as only a 100 yards previously, drivers had to negotiate an 80° left turn art the Castle Acre Road junction.
