The footpath along the side of the B1153 ends at the entrance to Church Lane and is where the school bus picks up children from the village.

Also, as noted in the section illustrating the danger areas in the village, "a number of vehicles, each year....fail to negotiate the turn and plunge through the hedge on the right". Look carefully at the centre of this picture and you can just see dark marks on the road that go on to cross the footpath as lighter marks.
