After many months displaying a notice warning that the kiosk was to be removed, suddenly, at 8:15 on the morning of 15 February 2005 a truck arrived and the kiosk was taken away.

All that was left was some roughly sown grass seed on the patch of ground where the kiosk had stood. The one advantage was that now you didn't have to step into the road to reach the footpath from the Post Office.
