From here both vehicles involved can be seen. The Peugeot has a massive "V-shaped" impact in the centre of its bonnet. The main impact to the Renault is to the front nearside.

Even the Emergency Services staff used to seeing such incidents are unable to say in which direction the two vehicles were travelling at the time of the impact. The Peugeot is at right-angles to the line of the main road, half backed off the carriageway and straddling the footpath. From the position of the Renault one might assume that it was northbound, travelling towards the fire engine, parked in the distance.
