Having hit the turning car, the overtaking Fiesta travelled almost straight on. It had sufficient speed and lack of control to mount the verge, crash through the fence, coming to rest only after scraping down the side of the cottage.

First of the Emergency Services to arrive was the Ambulance. The lone paramedic is seen here as he enters the cottage to attend the two drivers, neither of whom appeared to have any significant injury.
