The speed limit signs appeared on 15 March 2006. However, the signs have had no impact on the speed of traffic through the village.

Before the limit was introduced, the sign on the left included the bend and junction sign, now mounted on its own pole a few yards further down the road. However, so far the incidents that have occured have been caused by local drivers, who know the road and for whom the signs are irrelevant.
